Most clients have spent their lives practicing how not to feel. Using coping strategies to stifle uncomfortable emotions and feelings because they haven't known how to process them. This constant controlling of emotions makes them numb. Some have described even forgetting what it feels like to be happy. Their inner unrest has put a strain on their relationships, work performance, and they often suffer from low self-confidence, feeling unworthy, unlovable, powerless and as though something is wrong with them. Or that they're not as good as someone else they know.
These are very heavy burdens. The first coule of sessions generally are spent learning how the nervous system works before understanding how to remove the blocks for healing their emotional wounds. The SLIP™ Resilience Coach has experience with helping people resolve these feelings. As people do, their resilience grows, along with their self-confidence, ability to set safe boundaries, rebound from challenges quickly, be more clear thinking, and trust their gut. They are often able to move forward in life, set higher goals, and ahieve them. Their mental wellbeing also improves.
